Most Loyal Human Friend in the History – Horse

When you turn the pages of history, you find many instances of horses being an inseparable entity of many civilizations. It is said that History was written on the back of the horses, according to an inscription at The Horse Park in Kentucky. For centuries, horses have developed a special bond with humans who owe this Equus caballus of having served a variety of practical purposes to mankind right from 4000 B.C. An intriguing example of human-animal co-operation is the fascinating partnership between Horse and Rider. As I watched the movie Hidalgo on my Verizon FiOS TV, I was awestruck to see how the horses developed relationships with their masters. Hidalgo is a beautiful painted wild Mustang.

After watching Hidalgo, I desired to watch more movies on horse like Black Beauty, The Derby Stallion, Dark Horse, The Wild Stallion and many other wonderful movies. These remarkable animals share an astonishing trait like the power, and gracefulness, the ability to implicitly trust, and perform complex tasks in tandem with a human partner, working toward a common goal. The rider and horse sync their thinking and know how to communicate, which however takes time for both the horse and rider to learn. A horse could be one of your most loyal, long-term buddies and remember people even after long separation.

A study on horses depict that horses remember people who have trained them or treated them well and these animals understand vocal commands better than expected. As they have an excellent memory, they remember their friendly trainers even after not seeing them for months or years. You can discover the most honorable relationship possible with horses by being compassionate and friendly towards them. Horses display a positive behavior by sniffing and licking as a sign of affiliation with their masters. Horses use their facial expressions to communicate and their moods can be gauged by observing their nostrils, eyes and ears. They can sense the mood of their master and exhibit the same behavior. Horses accept new people more readily, because of a positive memory of humans that they had encountered. A horse is a very sensitive animal and is able to sense the feelings of those nearby particularly hesitation, fear, confidence and anger.

There are more than 350 breeds of ponies and horses that can be found like North American Mustang, Morgan Horse, American Saddlebred, Akhal-Teke from Russia, Black Forest, Arabian, Breton, Egyptian, French Saddlebred, the Welsh Mountain pony, Palomino, The Quarter horse, Australian stock horse, Shetland pony, Gypsy Vanner horse, Falebella of Argentina and many others. Horses are divided into three categories of breeds named Cold bloods, hot bloods and warm bloods. The cold bloods are large gentle horses suitable for slow and heavy work. The Hot bloods are swift, fast and are used for racing. Warm bloods are used for specific riding purposes, equestrian sports and competitions. A cross between a horse and a zebra is known as a zebroid, or zorse. A male horse is known as a stallion, a female horse as a mare and a baby horse is called a foal.

A mule is the offspring of a male donkey and a pony is a full grown small horse. Horses eat short, juicy grass, and hay. Foods like barley, corn, oats and bran are good for working horses and they live for about 25 to 30 years. A horse is able to walk, trot, canter and gallop and sleeps both standing up and lying down and spends more energy while lying down. Mostly used for personal pleasure in competitions, horses are loyal, intelligent and have very long-lasting memories and these hoofed creatures are indeed great friends of humans.

Android vs I-phone – A Two-Horse Race

Many a technology savvy enthusiasts like me prefer to keep themselves equipped with the latest gadgets and gizmos and, to this extend, keep saving up money or looking out for discount ways to make purchases possible. With the release of smart phones like Android and Iphone, I could feel my spider sense tingling for a new purchase. But as odd as it may sound, choosing between the two handsets turned out to be more furious than saving up money for the purchase. While reading reviews given on various sites, I did check out Amazon for price comparisons, consumer reviews, product descriptions and Amazon coupons. Reviews given over the internet are arguably biased towards one or the other.

However, having seen a couple of my friends and cousins keeping and using these smart phones – I’m making an attempt to bring out an unbiased comparison. Regardless who beats who, the prime aim of developing this article is to bring out a brief fair comparison for potential buyers who have been stumped by the decision between the two (Get an Amazon promotional code to get yourself great savings).

Battery: Android phones come with removable batteries which benefit individuals who are always on the move by allowing them to keep their phones alive for a long period of time with an additional charged-up battery if the phone battery goes dead (Use Amazon coupons for instant price cuts on your smart-phone). Unlike it, Iphone offers no battery replacements. And in case of encountering any battery issues, you’ll need to contact Apple.

Apps:
Applications make a handset attractive for tech savvy enthusiasts; the more apps a smart-phone has, the larger the clientele be (claim fantastic discounts with Amazon coupons). Android boasts about 70,000 apps in contrast to Iphone that offers over 230,000 apps.

Internal & External Memory: Android comes with a limited internal memory but with external expandable memory. Quite the opposite, Iphone has excellent internal memory but no external expandable memory (Amazon coupons available for instant abatements).

File Transfer / Sync: Transferring files between an android and a laptop is done via the ‘plug and transfer’ feature offered by Android phones whereas Iphone requires you to have a separate sync folder in your computer for the transmission of data.

The list of built-in features continues; each boasts some incredible features to be recommended and a few shortcomings to look into. However, choosing a handset should strictly be based on kind of applications you want the most. Applications, battery life, customization options, or memory capacity – these are a few of many features to ponder carefully because only then you’ll figure which one is right you! Make smart-phone purchases with Amazon which is giving away Amazon coupons as a part of its promotional deals. Ready to buy your smart phone and avail yourself of exciting savings with an Amazon promotional code?

The Beginner's Horse Betting Low-Down

Horse betting is probably one of the oldest gambling games that’s very popular but take note that this one is a bit different from other gambling activities. Horse betting has different bets, has absolutely different odds and a style of displaying them. Even if you are a pro in gambling, you will need to read some basics of horse betting to be successful. It may require more skills and patience but once you have gotten the hang of it then you will definitely love horse betting.

Horse betting activities has race programs which is a brochure where numbers of all the horses are listed as well as odds for each horse being printed before or after its number. It’s up to a track to set a manner of putting down numbers and odds. A race program is a betting term that you can find in no other betting.

Just like other sports betting activities, there are various types of wagers for horse betting. Some of them are the same that can be found in sports betting while others are unique to the activity alone.

o Straight bets include win (to fix what horse will finish first), place (a horse must come first or second to the finish), show (this is a place bet plus the third position), across the board wagers (to bet on that a horse will take either of the first three places).

o Quinella bet is about choosing two horses one of which should finish the race first and the other second.

o Exacta or perfecta will be gainful if a player foresees the two horses to come one after another to the finish.

o Trifecta wager suggests that a player should make an order of three horses with setting horses to be the first, the second, and the third reach the finish line.

o Superfecta this is trifecta plus the forth horse to come.

o Daily double bet requires a bettor to predict horses to finish first in two races.

It is a rule that it’s not allowed to make bets on scratches, otherwise known as the horses that have been withdrawn from races. When someone bets on a late scratch then his wager will be returned to him in most cases.

Horse betting is known as the Sport of Kings because of its Roman Empire epoch roots back in the Medieval ages and it’s still in demand but not by Kings anymore.

War Horse – An Odyssey Born out of Enmity, Sealed by Friendship

How far can a pedigree influence or limit one’s life and career? When it does, it’s obvious and anticipated but when it doesn’t, it’s inspirational. The magnificent Steven Spielberg directional produce that narrates the chronicles of a horse’s journey through varying hands during a time waged by World War I is what all of you are invited to indulge in this year.

Nominated for the Grammys and the Oscars soon after its American release, “War Horse” is by far one of Spielberg’s best characteristic directions, a narration that depicts the central character, a thoroughbred, Joey’s story, through one of mankind’s worst nightmares, a worldly debacle witnessing him transcend from the farm lands to the battle fronts.

The script, set in the lovely county of Devonshire, shows the Naracott farms raise the newly acquired thoroughbred far beyond affordability owned by a humble farmer Ted, played by the distinguished European actor and filmmaker, Peter Mullan. Joey, the horse, is brought home to a family of three; the farmer himself, his wife, Rose played by English actor Emily Watson and a son, Albert played by British actor Jeremy Irwine. For obvious reasons, Rose doesn’t seem to be in complete agreement over the dear purchase but the son, Albert, and the horse come close, so much that their friendship redefines the bond man and animal share.

With the onset of the World War I, Ted is forced to sell his horse to payback his rents and the journey unfolds. Joey sets off on an adventurous journey that brings him face to face with the gruesome reality of wars, battles and bloodshed; he comes across people from different walks of life, each one of them becoming a part of his life on common grounds of war; Albert commissions himself to the army to find his friend and a soul inspiring odyssey starts.

Of the most exciting characteristics Spielberg’s works exhibit, his precision is outstanding. Highly distinguished actors from the British, German and French background form the fundamentals of this Spielberg’s project. He beautifully plates up the extreme emotion and sentimentality in the Albert-Joey bond backed by the horror the world war spread and the impact it created on the lives of different people the story brought along with.

Based on the novel ‘War Horse’ by Michael Morpurgo, and also screen played as a stage adaptation, the story happens to have brought Steven Spielberg to tears. No doubt the perfectionist has captured every bit of the heart wrenching story with such accuracy that the audience can’t elude from it. The movie’s title scores come from the bandwagon of John Williams who has composed some critically acclaimed tracks for movies like Harry Potter, Jurrasic Park and the Indiana Jones series.

The movie boasts of magnificent dedication in narration, choicest selection of crew and a handpicked cast, noted and highly renowned names associated with the production and of course, the incredible work, a signature characteristic of Spielberg.

However, the audience, the decisive segment that will judge the movie’s impact at the box office as well as on life generally, sometimes, may tend to overlook the fact that every phase of adventure, suffering and battle that a horse like “Joey” confronted, highly contradicts his pedigree. While he was born to race, he whole-heartedly accustomed to ploughing in the farms with his master, Ted, playing in the farms with Albert, waging wars with his military chiefs and also bringing hope and rescue to the varying people he met during his journey.

Do we often tend to overlook the great stamina and endurance that race horses with satisfactory or below performances, may have exhibited? Is it only when a horse wins the race that it has actually proved his excellence as a species? Or is it every time they gallop the great distances at the shot of a gun, asked by their racers to tread faster, accelerating into an absolution of the victory?

Horse racing has been the sport of kings being sustained primarily by the fine species of these wonderful animals who participate to keep the tradition alive. Be it a win at a reputed tournaments or a trailing finish behind a field of mediocre, race horses always exhibit the guts to challenge, a fact none of us should underestimate.

We, at HorseRaceGame strive to bring the same spirit for horse racing back to speed with a platter of handpicked games. Car Racing Online Games-introduction

General genres

Racing simulators

Simulation style racing games try to convincingly replicate the managing of an automobile. Theynormally license real cars or racing leagues, but will in some cases use fantasy cars manufactured to resemblereal ones if unable to get an official license for them. Vehicular behavior physics are a keyfactor in the experience. The rigors of being a proficient race driver are generally also integrated(such as the need to deal with a car’s tire condition and fuel level). Adequate cornering technique andprecision racing maneuvers (such as trail braking) are given priority in the simulation racingonline games.

Although these racing simulators are specifically constructed for people with a high grade of drivingskill, it’s not uncommon to find aids that can be enabled from the game menu. The most common aidsare traction control (TC), anti-lock brakes, navigating assistance, damage resistance, clutchassistance and automatic gear changes. Racing simulators are usually piloted completely from theinterior driving view, as driving viewpoints from a perspective other than the driver’s are considered arcade.A few of these racing simulators are customizable, as game followers have decoded the tracks, cars andexecutable files. World wide web communities have grown around the simulators considered as the mostrealistic and many websites host internet championships.

Arcade racers

Arcade style racing games put a good time and a fast-paced experience above all else, as cars commonlycompete in specific ways. A key quality of arcade racers that specifically distinguishes them fromsimulation racers is their much more liberal physics. Whereas in real racing (and subsequently, thesimulation equivalents) the driver must reduce their speed substantially to take most turns, arcaderacing games usually encourage the player to “power slide” the car to allow the player to keep uptheir speed by traveling through a turn. Accidents with other racers, track obstacles, or trafficautos is usually much more exaggerated than simulation racers as well. In most cases, arcaderacers only remove the precision and rigor required from the simulation experience and focusstrictly on the racing element entirely. They often license real cars and leagues, but are similarlyopen to more unusual settings and cars. Races take place on highways, windy roads, or in cities, they could be multiple-lap circuits or point-to-point, with one or multiple paths (sometimes withcheckpoints), or different types of competition, like demolition derby, jumping, or testing drivingcompetencies.

Some arcade racing games raise the competition between racers by including weapons that can be usedagainst opponents to slow them down or otherwise impede their progress so they can be passed. Thisis a staple feature in “kart racing” games, such as the Mario Kart series, but this kind ofgameplay also shows up in standard, car-based racing games as well. Weapons can range fromprojectile attacks to traps along with non-combative things like speed boosts. Weapon-based racinggames include games such as Full Auto, Rumble Racing, and Blur.

Sub-genres

On-road -In a car racing game, the primary gameplay option is driving the car. However, they occasionallyoffer a secondary mode for tuning up the car. There are different standards in winning car racinggames, most of which apply to real life circumstances while most are specific to the game itself.

Simulation-style racing games-Racing games that are more focused on realism.Semi-simulation-style racing games-These games are neither simulators nor arcade racers; they standin the middle of the spectrum.

Arcade-style racing games-Racing games that aren’t focused on realism.

 Sports games

Event racing-Game associated with sports events.

Monster truck racing games-To date, Monster Truck Madness is the only monster truck racing gamethat adds some simulation aspects, such as drag racing. The rest of the games are based either oncar crush racing or vehicular combat.

Kart racing games-Kart racers, popularized by (and sometimes credited to) the Mario Kart series, are akind of racing game that offers the ability to pick up items during the race, and use them toamplify one’s efficiency in a race, or to attack other players and obstruct their progress. Likearcade racers, kart racers feature simple racing physics and imaginative scenarios to race in.The vocabulary itself was extracted from Go-Kart racing.

Water racing games-Racing that take place on the ocean, in the sea and on other water-basedarenas.

Off-road racing games-Off-road racing is a format of racing in which different classes of speciallyadapted motor vehicles (including cars, trucks, motorcycles and buggies) compete in races throughoff-road regions.

Futuristic racing games-With science fiction configuration, these games have an abstract view to racingand may feature abstract vehicles such as hover bikes and race in unknown regions. Without havingto follow physical laws, the races and vehicles can maneuver with abnormal speeds.

Racing role playing games-Racing games that incorporate the elements of a RPG, such as characterqualities and stages.

Mission-based racing games-Racing games feature the players’ intent to not race around the tracks bygoing on a variety of laps, but to pick up passengers to take them to somewhere they want to go orto carry things to somewhere.

Vehicular combat games-In these games, gameplay is mostly focused on the combat aspect of drivinggames, getting vehicles equipped with weapons used to attack opponents (or the motor vehicle itself is aweapon).
