Ethically Supplementing Racing Horse And Camel Feed

As all experienced handlers and owners of racing camels and horses are only too aware, there are times when sheer physical exertion causes animals to go off feed, despite their best attempts to keep stress levels to a bare minimum.  The hearts, limbs and lungs of their animals may be in the best possible shape.  Hence, handlers and owners turn their immediate attentions to scrutiny of diets and training methods in order to speedily restore the equilibrium.  In the case of a racing horse, for example, muscle development averages at 5% per week.  In real terms, this equates to approximately 12-20 weeks for a horse that has gone off feed to be returned to optimum fitness levels.  Resultantly, numerous racing horse and camel owners turn to appetite stimulants and tonics to hasten the restoration of their hard working animals to peak condition.

Throughout the career of a racing horse or camel, handlers and owners are naturally mindful of maintaining and enhancing the physical and mental wellbeing of their animals in accordance with animal welfare legislation.  This is one of the many reasons why so many owners turn to Collovet, produced by Ruth Consolidated Industries Pty Ltd in Sydney, Australia.  Collovet is a highly effective and ethical appetite stimulant and restorative for animals. It features amongst the broad range of feed supplements and veterinary products pioneered and produced by Ruth Consolidated Industries Pty Ltd.

Collovet can also be administered alongside racing horse and camel feed to supplement the existing healthy diets of animals undergoing intensive training and racing schedules.

So what exactly is Collovet?  It is a pleasant multi tasking liquid that easily dissolves in water.  It is power packed with vitamins, minerals and stomachic’s that stimulate the appetites of animals, promoting their mental wellbeing during busy times of exceptional stress, and also improving their muscular capacity for physical exertion.  Besides being used as a racing horse and camel feed supplement, it is also eminently well suited for the preparation of animals for selling or showing, as it enhances the overall quality and bloom of coats.

Collovet provides a winning solution for handlers and owners, both when their animals go off feed, and when they want to assure that the fitness and wellbeing of their animals if of the highest caliber it possibly can be.

Horse Racing in Australia

Australia is renowned for taking their horse racing events seriously. In fact, Australians love horse racing so much that the Melbourne Cup, a world famous horse race event, is said to be the event that “stops the nation”. Many regions within Australia host a wide array of horse racing events and most of them are attended by hordes of punters and spectators.

Australian horse racing first came to be in Hyde Park located in Sydney in October 1810. Officers from the 73rd Regiment of Governor Macquarie held the first official horse race event in this place. The first official racing club, Australian Jockey Club, held its races at Homebush in the years 1842 until 1859, and they moved their events to Randwick in 1860. One of the most known racing clubs, Sydney Turf Club, was founded in 1943 and they held their horse racing events in Rosehill Gardens as well as Canterbury. They were famous for being the first racing club to open the richest race event for two-year-old horses, which is the Golden Slipper Stakes.

In Victoria, the first horse racing events were held not in an official race track but rather on a racecourse located at Batman’s Hill back in 1838. The Victoria Racing Club was founded in 1864, when the Victoria Turf Club and the Victoria Jockey Club opted to join together to form one organization.

In Queensland, the first official horse racing event was held in 1843 at Cooper’s Plain. The Queensland Turf Club was founded in 1863. In 1923, the Brisbane Amateur Turf Club was founded.

In 1843, South Australia came up with their own first horse racing event which they held in Adelaide. Thirteen years later the South Australian Jockey Club was founded here.

A lot more racing clubs began forming afterward, proof that Australians love their horse racing very much.
Australian horse racing is a tradition most punters do not miss. Every year, scores of punters flock to the race tracks to place their bets on their preferred horses. One of the richest horse racing event in the nation is the Melbourne Cup, which is held every first Tuesday in November. This event is set for three-year-old horses, and older, that will run a length of 3,200 meters and the winning horse can take home a $6 million purse. Lucky punters can also take home huge sums of money since almost every punter around the world places bets on this prestigious event. By the first week of August, the Melbourne Cup will close its doors to entering runners. The initial entrance fee for runners is $600 and there are around 300 to 400 horses that get nominated for this event, but in the end only 24 horses will be picked for the Cup.

But thoroughbred racing is not the only form of racing known to Aussies. In Australia, harness racing is also a famous racing event. Harness racing is different from thoroughbred racing with the former attaching a cart to the horse for the jockey to ride on and the latter with the jockey riding on the back of the horse. Harness racing is also popular in Australia and many harness racing events are held in various regions of the nation annually.

2012 Major Prep Races for the Kentucky Derby

When the Breeders’ Cup wraps each fall, the eyes of the racing world begin to focus on the lead-up to the next year’s Kentucky Derby, a six-month odyssey better known as the Triple Crown Trail.

Horses with aspirations in reaching Churchill Downs that first Saturday in May must first prove their mettle in a series of prep races designed to expose the pretenders from the contenders. Some of these races have more significance than others. We’ll look at the five that traditionally have the biggest impact on stamping a horse worthy of the Kentucky Derby.

Blue Grass Stakes (Keeneland Race Course; Kentucky)–The Blue Grass is held three weeks prior to the Derby, making it one of the last options for the Derby’s “major” contenders. According to Kentuckyderby.com, 22 horses have won the Derby after prepping in the Blue Grass. That list includes the likes of Thunder Gulch, Spectacular Bid and Northern Dancer.

Unfortunately, this race has lost some of its impact since Keeneland changed its main track from dirt to synthetic following the 2006 Blue Grass.

Arkansas Derby (Oaklawn Park; Arkansas)–This became a key Triple Crown prep during the mid-2000’s and has has continued to maintain its prominent status. Recent winners of this race are a notable bunch. They include 2004 Kentucky Derby  and Preakness Stakes winner Smarty Jones; 2005 Preakness and Belmont Stakes winner Afleet Alex; 2007 Champion Older Horse Lawyer Ron; and two-time Horse of the Year Curlin.

Santa Anita Derby (Santa Anita Park; California)–This has been the Golden State’s major Derby prep since its inaugural running in 1935. Eight winners of the Santa Anita Derby has gone on to win the Kentucky Derby, the last being Sunday Silence in 1989. In 2005, Giacomo became the 14th horse to run in the Santa Anita Derby and win the Kentucky Derby. From 2008-2010, the race was contested on a synthetic surface. Bob Baffert has the most wins among trainers with six.

Wood Memorial Stakes (Aqueduct Racetrack; New York)–Inaugurated in 1925, the  Wood Memorial Stakes as produced 20 Kentucky Derby winners in its history. They include Fusaichi Pegasus in 2000, Monarchos in 2001 and Funny Cide in 2003. Recent winners of the Wood haven’t been so lucky. The last three to claim the Wood—Toby’s Corner in 2011, Eskendereya in 2010 and I Want Revenge in 2009—all were injure prior to the Derby and failed to compete.

Florida Derby (Gulfstream Park; Florida)–The Sunshine State’s major prep has been run annually since 1952. Nineteen horses have prepped in the Florida Derby and gone on to win the Kentucky Derby, including Big Brown in 2008 and Barbaro in 2006. It will be run on March 31 this year.

Horse Racing Fantasy brings home a delectable platter of horse racing games to tantalize the gaming fanatics all around the globe. The games are a meticulous handpicked collection of more than 5000 fine thoroughbreds from around the world racing past and present including the best jockeys it offers. Online fantasy games are the new window to gaming for those who’d prefer the calm and relaxed interiors and the comfort of their couch while they race the finest on the trickiest and most unpredictable of racing surfaces.

Talking about horse racing brings back some exciting events from horse racing history that can be relived in the incredible 3D simulations of these racing games. Then be it rising mercury as Blame finally overtaking Zenyatta in the Breeder’s Cup Classic putting a stop to the 19-0 winning revolution Zenyatta reigned till then or the unpredictability when Animal Kingdom ran to victory upsetting a perfectly set win for the other starrers like Shackleford and Mucho Macho Man.

The Blame winning over Zenyatta episode however is one of the most thrilling events to mention when talking of the horse races. The year 2010 was a continuation of Zenyatta riding her lucky winning streak and there seemed no stopping the first female horse riding an indefinite winning madness before. Even the most striking male horses fell short in their performances when Zenyatta held her fort in every tournament her connections participated her into. Going the people’s favourite, little anticipation went whenever she set foot on the racing tracks.

The day was November 6th and the second day of the Breeder’s events when Zenyatta’s fans hoped she’s set history on fire with her 20th undefeated run to the wire. However the field of 12 today consisted of stable-mate and Whitney winner, Blame along with Haskell and Preakness winner Lookin at Lucky.

Zenyatta followed her signature style running the back of the pack for most of the distance carefully saving her gas for the final furlongs. The pace was set by First Dude but the lead soon followed into the hands of Espoir City who in turn was overtaken by Blame and Lookin at Lucky. As fate would have it, Looking at Lucky soon faded out while Zenyatta began accelerating. As she gain momentum from her trailing by more than 15 lengths, she closed in with Blame in the home stretch hoping to win. Blame however contained her with his impossible momentum giving up for not a second. The tournament was eventually won by Blame against his stable mate and true contender Zenyatta who finished second only by a head.

The real episode must have been exponentially more exciting than the summary I just penned down and horse racing games online promise to bring just that reality back. The virtual feel and 3D simulations with exceptional quality, conformance to standards comprising of individual horse racing styles, behaviours and even the meticulous details like weather and racing surface are taken into study so as make the whole online racing experience incredibly accurate and realistic.

Breed new foals from the sprawling choices of sires and dames and train them on a variety of surfaces as you would if you owned a stable for real. A Horse Racing Bet That Can Make You Rich – 2011 Breeders' Cup …

Among all of the Breeders’ Cup bets that will be made available this weekend, no payout is subject to a greater degree of variability than the Pick Six. In fact, so wildly do the payouts fluctuate that payouts can vary from $45,000 to $3.8 million.

The Breeders Cup Pick Six is one of the difficult and most lucrative of all bets. In fact, if you can manage to pick the six winning horses of six designated Breeders’ Cup races on the same ticket, it is safe to say that you will clear $50,000 at the absolute bare minimum. Even with mostly favorites winning, you can at least put a down payment on a new home.

The likelihood is that the payoff will be much more. Because of the large fields, and groups of horses who have never faced each other coming together, there is the potential for not only chaos, but for overlooking long shots.

Before you start salivating too much, know that this is a very difficult bet to hit. But if you manage to pull it off, you can start planning your retirement.

Just to give a few examples of how much the Pick Six can potentially pay:

In 2002, 2004, and 2005, no one was able to correctly pick the set of six winning horses on a single ticket. If anyone had been able to do so they would’ve been the sole winner and collected at least $2.5 million. Even in 2005, selecting five out of the six winners would have netted you $90,000.

In 2000 the payoff was $45,000 for six correct, and in 2008 the payoff was $55,000 for six correct. In 2009, only one winner managed to pick six even with favorite Zenyatta winning the Classic. The lucky winner received $2,687,611 for the winning ticket. Last year, the Pick Six payout was almost as generous as it paid a cool $800,000, which implies that there were probably about three to five winners.

Of course the highest rewards are also associated with the highest risks, so know that this bet is one that has eluded even the most seasoned horse players.

We decided to take a theoretical shot at the Pick Six using three horses per race. Whether we actually play it remains to be seen. For now our expert panel has put together the following Pick Six ticket

Breeders Cup Turf Sprint: Carcortado, California Flag, Regally Ready

Breeders Cup Dirt Mile: The Factor, Tapizar, Wilburn,

Breeders Cup Turf: Sarafina, Sea Moon, Midday

Breeders Cup Juvenile: Union Rags, Crusade, Hansen

Breeders Cup Mile: Goldikova, Sidney’s Candy, Byword

Breeders Cup Classic: Uncle Mo, So You Think, Flat Out

Fantasy ticket cost: 3x3x3x3x3x3 x $2 = $1,458.

If you decide to take a stab at this year’s Breeders’ Cup Pick Six, good luck!
