Caracas is the capital city of Venezuela. Despite of its negative reputation due to the violence and pickpockets this city has plenty of attractions to present to its visitors, and also numerous Venezuela hotels to fit all their needs.

Hotels in Caracas offer all types of accommodation- from budget hotels in Venezuela to luxury five star hotels.

Here is a list of the TOP 10 Attractions which you dont have to miss visiting while you are on your holiday in Caracas, Venezuela.

1. Capilla de Santa Rosa de Lima:

This monument is located west of Concejo Municipal and commemorates the place where congress proclaimed independence in 1811. The chapel holds its ancient embellishments and furnishings and has been rebuilt.

2.Casa Amarilla:

Located on the west of Plaza Bolivar, this is the 17th century balconied building named as the Yellow House. Initially it was a royal prison and after the independence, it was restored with lemon yellow paint and was made the presidential residence.

3.Casa Natal de Bolvar:

It is the house of the famous independence idol Simon Bolivar. At the moment, what you see is the rebuilt mansion converted into a museum displaying period weapons, banners, and uniforms. More about it may be glimpsed in the near by Museo Bolivariano.

4. Catedral:

Originally created in the 16th century as a mere mud-walled construction, this chapel on the east of Plaza Bolivar was rebuilt between 1665 and 1713 to have the current gilded altars and intricate carvings. Only the broad five-nave interior residing on 32 columns was rejuvenated in the late 19th century.

7.Iglesia Santa Capilla:

Constructed on the place of first mass marked right after the discovery of the town, this is the neo-Gothic church designed on the basis of the Sainte Chapelle of Paris.

8.Jardin Botanico:

Botanical Gardens are just in ten minutes walk west to the tough roads from Sabana Grande. The garden welcomes you together with the plants from all around the globe, the interlacing trees, swathed vines, and singing birds.

9.Museo de Ciencias Naturales:

Sitting across the circle from Bellas Artes, this museum holds the historical past of evolution, minerals, and fossils as well as some details on the local languages and astronomy.

10.Parque del Este:

Located over a part of a former coffee plantation, this can be the largest park within the city. This is a prefect experience for botanical lovers to explore the labeled trees and plants. On a Sunday, this area is full of playing children, soccer games, religious groups, martial art classes, and jogging people. Don’t miss its snake house, aviary and cactus garden, and on astral displays in the Planetario Humboldt.

7th Century to Swinging Naughties – Famous British Icons

England and Britain are famous worldwide for its many British Icons from Boudeca, Queen Chief of the Iceni Tribe, Football, Mini Skirt to the Mini Car and I thought I would tell its British history and list some of the most famous Icons from the 7th Century to the present day. 2011 Kentucky Derby News – Less Then One Week to … – horse racing

Bob Baffert had already lost a potential Kentucky Derby starter in Jaycito to a foot injury, and now that Baffert has elected to take The Factor out of consideration as well; and, now that J P’s Gusto has also been withdrawn by his trainer, this leaves the door open for Shackleford and Twinspired for making the 20-horse Derby field.

The Derby field is limited to 20 starters , and Silver Medallion and Anthony’s Cross are now 21st and 22nd in terms of graded earnings, in that order, but Silver Medallion is now no longer under consideration. In order for Anthony’s Cross to get in, one of the top 20 will have to withdraw.

Soldat and Dialed In are still down in Florida. Dialed In had his final Derby work on Thursday, working in company with a stable mate going 4 furlongs in 48.53 seconds at the Palm Meadows training center. His trainer Nick Zito has said that despite the moderate work, it was exactly what he was looking for. Hall of fame jockey Jerry Bailey was one of the onlookers, and said that although he thinks Dialed In might have gotten more out of a slightly longer work, perhaps 5 or 6 furlongs, he thinks it was a nice work.

Soldat galloped 1-1/8 miles at Palm Meadows and will be having his final Derby work on Friday, after which he and Dialed In will head for Louisville on Saturday.

Uncle Mo breezed five furlongs over a sloppy Churchill Downs track on Tuesday, which was his first workout since recovering from a gastrointestinal infection discovered following his third place finish in the Wood Memorial on April 9th. His trainer Todd Pletcher was pleased with the work, which was completed in a time of 1:01 4/5, and is optimistic that the horse is getting back on track. He will have his final workout on Monday.

It looks like we will have one foreign horse in the race, Master of Hounds, who is trained by Aiden O’Brien and is expected to ship to Kentucky next Tuesday. He was last seen in the $2 million UAE Derby, in which he finished second, losing by a head-bob at the wire.

Three-time Kentucky Derby winning jockey Calvin Borel will get a chance to win his fourth in five years, as he will be the pilot aboard Twice the Appeal, who caused a 25-1 upset in the Sunland Derby. This will be the first time that Borel will ride Twice the Appeal.

Legendary race caller Tom Durkin will not be calling the Kentucky Derby for the first time in 13 years, due to stress-related anxiety. The Triple Crown races this year will be called by Gulfstream Park track announcer Larry Collmus.

Sensi Seeds The World's Number One Breeder – EzineMark

Sensi seeds are a product of the Sensi Seed Bank. They are one of the leading producers of marijuana seeds in the world. The company has been in the field for more than 20 years. Based in Holland, this Dutch company has won many prizes. In fact, it has been awarded more cannabis cups and various other harvest awards than any other seedbank. There business is contained in a multi level complex where they develop many different strains. Like a self storage facility the place is build on multi levels and each unit contains another batch of masterfully created pure breeding cannabis genius. They dont just breed strains for their own brand identity. Mr Nice is just one of the titles which acquire its seeds directly from Sensi and we are sure that there are probably many more that rebrand them to create their own companies. Mr Nice is a huge brand and just the fact that he is working with Sensi makes them quality and enforces the sense that youre working with the best in their field. Mr. Nice is world famous for his infamous lifestyle as one of the UKs biggest cannabis importers of all time. He has recently released his new film based on his biography of his days as a smuggler and the various situations he found himself in. if a star with this kind of publicity who is clearly a genius and connoisseur in his own right chooses Sensi then this just strengthens the brand even further. Why would you approach anyone else when Sensi are clearly one of the market leaders in their field?

Sensi seeds first launched its range of feminized seeds in 2008. They are stable, uniformed, top performing and available in female and regular packs of 5 or 10 seeds. The performance of Sensi Seeds is renowned to being without complication producing uniform plants every time. Some of the names on offer include Big Bud, Silver Haze, Northern Lights #5 x Haze, Jack Flash, Super Skunk Shiva Skunk and Skunk #1. These are the products of some of the latest techniques in the breeding process that Sensi adhere to when producing the premium range they have on offer.

Sensi Seeds uses stringent programs when carrying out their affairs. Every strain is subject to rigorous testing to produce only the finest seeds. Before every batch of seeds is released for sale product testing must be carried out. Now days with the internet and the many cannabis forums that it has to offer a seedbank cannot conduct business selling faulty seeds. All it takes it for one unhappy customer to get posting comments about feminized seeds that produce male plants and business is lost. Sensi Make sure there is never doubt and that is just one reason for their great success. They have even gone to the lengths of opening the Sensi Seeds museum which holds some really cool original artifacts of cannabis history. In fact Mr. Nice donated one of his original fake identification passes that he used during his smuggling days.

Equine Law – Consumer Protection When Buying A Horse

November 23, 2013 By Leave a Comment
When people enter into a contract for the purchase of a horse, but the animal which they are delivered is substantially different from what was expected or agreed, they are often confused about what their legal rights are, and what can be done to address the situation. However, this area of law need not be unduly confusing.

At its most basic, the purchase of a horse is a contract for the sale of goods, and disputes about the quality of the horse and whether the deal was fair should be decided with reference to general principles of contract and sale of goods law

Contractual warranties and conditions
Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the law implies into every consumer contract a condition that the goods sold are of adequate quality and fit for purpose, and that they match their description. These terms are implied into consumer contracts of the sale of horses, and can relate to all aspects of the horse, including its age, its lineage and its state of health.

It should be remembered that the Sale of Goods Act only applies to contracts of sale where the purchaser is a consumer and the seller is acting in the course of a trade or business. For example, a contract between two private individuals for the transfer of horse form one to the other is not covered by this legislation, as the seller is unlikely to be acting in the course of business. Likewise, someone who buys a horse for racing or in the course of their business is not a consumer.

Even where the sale of goods act does not apply, there may well be a warranty or condition incorporated into the contract of sale. This need not be in the written terms and conditions. For example, a description of the horse on a delivery note or invoice could be taken as a contractual term.

Misrepresentation
Unlike many other types of consumer purchases, buying a horse is a transaction in which there is likely to be a substantial imbalance in the degree and expertise and knowledge of the respective parties. Very often the consumer makes a decision to purchase based on information provided by the seller

The Misrepresentation Act 1967 that wherever a consumer is induced into a contract by representations which are made by a seller, and those representations turn out to be incorrect then the consumer has a claim against the seller for misrepresentation. This is the case even where the seller believed the representation to be true.

In cases of misrepresentation, the consumer usually has a choice of two remedies, although in certain cases he may be limited to one or the other.

Damages – the consumer can claim compensation for his loss. For example, if he was sold a horse which he was told was one year old when in fact it was five years old he could claim for the difference between the price which he paid and the value of the horse which he received.
Rescission of the contract. – this means that both parties are placed in the position which they would have been in if they had never entered into the contract. This means that the horse will be returned to the seller and the consumer will get his money back in full.

Kentucky Derby Betting and The Starting Position – EzineMark

November 22, 2013 By Leave a Comment

There are only a few days left before Kentucky Derby 2012 hits off. And today, marks a very important event on the 2012 Kentucky Derby. Today, they will hold their draw for post positions in the Run for the Roses and it’s going to have a huge affect on the odds of each horse. Yes, the starting position of a horse is very important to win. You would think that the No. 1 post position, the one closest to the rail, would be ideal because it allows a horse to run the shortest distance to the finish line. That’s true, but a horse starting from the No. 1 post also stands a good chance of getting pinned against the rail. It’s not an accident that no horse has won from the No. 1 post since 1988. History favors horses starting from the middle, which is right around the No. 10 post. These are spots that give horses a chance to start out in front, and from there they can at least stay within striking distance.

Some expert handicappers at Sportsbook.ag says that “If Bodemeister has a bad draw, then it’s got to be Union Rags,” “And if Union Rags has a bad draw, it would be the other way around.” Bodemeister and Union Rags are some of several horses with a fantastic chance to win the Kentucky Derby and join the group of distinguished horses who have won the prestigious race.

With a just a few days before the action at Churchill Downs heats up, take a quick look on my Top 3 favorite horses – and definitely the horses I’m going to put my Kentucky Derby betting on. These horses will give their competition a hard time on the racetrack no matter what their starting position is. And then the battle between these three – winning the race – depends on what position will they get.

Union Rags: Union Rags is a tremendous horse who has had some strong workouts leading up to Saturday’s big race. Trainer Michael Matz has done a wonderful job keeping Union Rags in top form over the past year, and the horse has responded with four victories in its last seven races. Unless something unexpected happens close to the race, expect Union Rags to finish no less than third at the Kentucky Derby.

Gemologist: Gemologist has won five straight races, and in those victories, has shown some tremendous speed and stamina by staying strong over long distances. Trainder Todd Pletcher has to be commended for his ability to keep Gemologist in top shape and condition race after race With great speed, power and stamina, it’s hard to imagine this horse having a poor showing on Saturday.

Bodemeister: Bodemeister became one of the Derby’s favorites after he kicked serious butt at the Arkansas Derby, winning by 9.5 lengths. Famous trainer and Kentucky Derby winner Bob Baffert has done a masterful job getting Bodemeister in top form ahead of the big race this weekend. Bodemeister has raced four times in 2012, finishing first twice and second twice. Bodemeister will be one of the best prepared horses at the Kentucky Derby and one of the top favorites to win the race.

So consider putting this three on your Kentucky Derby betting list. I am sure one of them will win it. And no one amongst them will get lower than 5th place on the race. Comment on my article if you agree or not.

What's Eating Your Violin Bow Hair? It Might Be Bow Bugs

November 21, 2013 By Leave a Comment

We’ve all heard of “Bed Bugs.” But did you know there are also “Bow Bugs?” Indeed there are — little arthropods (related to moths) that live inside your violin case and munch horse hair. How do you know that your case is infested? There are certain tell-tale signs. One is an accelerated rate of horse hair breakage on your bow(s). Another is the appearance of broken bow hairs in a spidery pattern inside your case. You may even see crawling or dead insects, or discover the exoskeletons they leave behind when the molt.

These bugs like to live in the dark. They are most likely to live in cases that are left closed for long periods of time. Because they abhor the light, they are seldom found in cases that are opened frequently. Fortunately, they do not like to eat violins and, aside from destroying horse hair, they are otherwise harmless. However, once they have taken up residence, they are difficult to eliminate and can be transferred from case to case.

How to get rid of them? It is usually a good idea to buy a new case and to re-hair any affected bows. However, if this is not an option, another alternative is to expose the case and bows to sunlight over a period of several days, which should kill the insects. You may also opt to spray the case with moth insecticide. However, you must then keep the violin in a safe place until the chemical dries, to avoid harm to your violin.

For dealing with “Bow Bugs,” prevention is the best cure. Try not to allow your case to sit unopened or in storage for long periods of time — violinists who practice regularly rarely experience this problem.
