It is important that you only invest all your time and efforts into something that is going to be worth your while. In other words a low risk investment. This will ensure that you do not miss out on any other good opportunities that may arise in the future. Or whilst you are seeing this person. How many times as someone you have been after for a while become single just as you begin to start something new with someone else. It is sod’s law and it always seems to happen. So keep your eyes peeled when it comes to start new relationships. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket and risk losing everything.
You need to keep a lot of your time for yourself. And don’t neglect the people who have been good to you over the years, when all of a sudden you have a new toy to play with. It is important that you get the best out of the time you invest into this relationship. And you need to give yourself hope of building a relationship that is actually going to last. Not one that is just going to be a stopgap.
By stopgap I mean a relationship that sandwiches two other significant relationships that you may have. In other words they waste your time and their time, and quite frankly you don’t have time to waste. Make sure you are able to keep these things together and if you are not able to then get out altogether.
The last thing you want to be doing is investing the most precious thing you have available to you, and coming out with nothing. It just does not make sense. You need to keep what time you have available for you and keep it for yourself or people who deserve it. You cannot get this back and there is no way to recompense for lost time. It just doesn’t work like that. So gamble but keep those stakes low and eyes peeled for developments elsewhere.
