My Experience With Circle Y Flex 2 Elk Ridge Saddle

I decided to buy the Circle Y Flex 2 Elk Ridge saddle for my horse this month. Because a really good friend of mine sang Circle Y’s praises as a company, I decided to purchase this particular saddle. High quality and value are what these well-made saddles are known for.

I prefer to trail ride.  I made the decision to by the Circle Y Flex 2 Elk Ridge saddle after doing some serious investigation into the Circle Y brand.  I was immediately impressed by the decoration of complex patterns of this saddle. I loved the deep brown, walnut color version of the saddle.

The Pros:

Many mass-produced saddles are inferior in quality, but not so with the Circle Y Flex 2 Elk Ridge saddle. . I ride very often and do long trail rides almost every weekend.

Finding the right saddle has proven to be an issue with my horse. I like the freedom of riding trails.  I know right away when I use a saddle whether or not it fits my horse perfectly. I went through quite a lot of saddles in my life.  I also have the tendency to sell my saddles if I don’t like them anymore.

Quality Rides

With the Circle Y Flex 2 Elk Ridge saddle I noticed an immediate improvement in the quality of my rides.  My horse was going for more speed. He also seemed much more relaxed. I will only buy flex tree saddles from now on because I think they are the best ones for my horse.

The Circle Y Flex 2 Elk Ridge saddle fits my horse wonderfully.  The saddle stopped my horse  from doing “odd” things while riding. I am sure this improvement is due to the flex trees and  because of the improved weight distribution this saddle features.  Just like the Circle Y Walnut Grove saddle, the Elk Ridge was designed with your horse’s comfort in mind.

A Lightweight Saddle

I also love the light weight of this saddle. It’s easy to lift when saddling my horse. Wear and tear is minimal. Of course, you have to take care of your saddle.  But that’s normal. If treated properly, this saddle can last generations.

The Cons:

If you weigh 140 pounds or more, this saddle might not be the best choice for distributing your weight. It’s also a very expensive saddle.  You’ll have to cash out a lot of money for it.  But I think it’s worth it.  To save money, you may want to opt to buy used circle y saddles.
